Pearl farming is done all over the world and is a way of surgically creating pearls though oysters. This is done through a surgical procedure called grafting. Pearl farming does create water quality loss due to the chemicals used and disease is easily spread and also creates disease. Pearl farming is eco friendly, the oysters can also clean water. Pearl farming is also sustainable. Pearls are made when a grain of sand or such makes its way into the oyster or clam. The mollusk then releases a coat to protect itself. Layer upon layer is released until it is formed. So this had to be done during pearl farming.
